April 15, 2008

Having snowmobiled 1600 kilometers over 16 days in temperatures as low as -38ºC, the Canadian Rangers and scientists Luke Copland, Derek Mueller, and Andrew Hamilton have completed their patrol of the Ellesmere Ice Shelves.
The patrol was challenging but extremely successful and a truly rewarding experience for scientists and Rangers alike. We will update the site with more photos and stories from the patrol in the coming days.
A press release of the major findings of the science expedition is available for download here - PRESS_RELEASE_Apr_12.doc
A full photo gallery feature of the patrol, Operation Nunalivut 08, is currently on the CBC NEWS website.
Many spectacular images were captured by the Combat Cam photographers on the patrol, please visit their website to view the photos Combat Cam website
